A duo of single malt miniatures from Gordon & MacPhail, bottled for the Connoissuers Choice range. Both have been distilled at the Speyside distillery Miltonduff, Mosstowie being an experimental distilate produced at the distillery between 1964 - 1981 using Lomond Stills. Included in this lot -

Mosstowie was not a standalone distillery but rather a unique expression of whisky produced at the Miltonduff Distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Between 1964 and 1981, Miltonduff utilized innovative Lomond stills, which were designed to offer versatility in spirit character by allowing adjustments during the distillation process. Named after the Mosstowie area near the distillery, this whisky was an experimental venture by Hiram Walker, aiming to create different styles of malt whisky for blending purposes, particularly for their Ballantine's blend.
