It is also the location of Matsui Breweries, which makes traditional Japanese sake and shochu, as well as whisky. This bottle, the Kurayoshi Pure Malt 18 Year Old is the finest thing this distillery has produced as of now. Released in April 2016, it has gained attention in Japan, as ji-whisky makers tend to be far more modest when it comes to ageing than Matsui is.
