Maker's Mark Star Hill Farm

This is the first-ever American wheat whisky from the Maker's Mark distillery. Named after the 1,100-acre farm that houses the Maker’s Mark Distillery, Star Hill Farm Whisky is an annual release designed to evolve each year. It explores the impact of regenerative farming practices—focused on soil, wheat, water, and wood—on whisky flavor. The inaugural 2025 edition spotlights soft red winter wheat, the signature grain in Maker’s Mark’s mashbill, by eliminating corn entirely to let the wheat take center stage. This release is crafted from two distinct mashbills: one comprising 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley, and the other made entirely from 100% malted soft red winter wheat. The whiskies were aged for seven and eight years before being blended and bottled uncut at a cask strength of 57.35% ABV (114.7 proof). Tasting notes for the 2025 Star Hill Farm Whisky include aromas of buttery caramel, golden raisins, and gingerbread. On the palate, expect a soft, bright medley of honeyed toffee, chocolate-covered cherries, and a touch of apple pie spice. The finish is smooth and welcoming, rounded out by toasted pecans and gentle cinnamon.
