    Unaged new make spirit from Swedish distillery, Mackmyra. Vit Hund (which means White Dog in Swedish is made with their unsmoked malted barley.

    The original Mackmyra distillery was established in 1999, following a famous discussion amongst friends about why Sweden didn’t have its own distillery? Well, that chat gave birth to Mackmyra, a distillery named after the town where the old mill and power station buildings are located. Due to demand, a new distillery was established in 2012, as Mackmyra releases were selling out in minutes. The new distillery is very unique as it uses gravity as part of the distillation process and the old distillery was renamed Lab, for experiments. As Mackmyra are not in Scotland, they have more freedom to experiment with casks, recipes and techniques. In 2020, this gave birth to a green tea whisky and thanks to the hugely talented master blender, Angela D’Orazio, Mackmyra releases are continuing to challenge what whisky can be. For instance, Artificial Intelligence was used in 2019 to help shape a whisky and we can only expect more weird, wonderful and drinkable whiskies from this Swedish distillery.

    Selling Whisky should be a pleasurable experience not a complicated one! We've broken down the process into a few easy-to follow steps.

    The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
