Macallan Masters of Photography

The Macallan Masters of Photography: Mario Testino Edition is the fifth release in the celebrated Masters of Photography series, following collaborations with Rankin, Albert Watson, Annie Leibovitz and Elliott Erwitt. Created in collaboration with acclaimed photographer Mario Testino, the release celebrates The Macallan’s Six Pillars, with Testino capturing six individual personalities through a series of photographs inspired by the atmosphere of a whisky club and the experience of people coming together to celebrate. Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno selected six individual casks from Macallan’s extensive stocks, each chosen to represent one of the Six Pillars. These were brought together to create the unique single malt for this edition. Limited to just 1,000 examples worldwide, each is housed in a specially designed black lacquered presentation box, featuring one of four photographs taken by Testino. The presentation includes the full-size bottle, a photo-archival booklet containing 20 images from the shoot and six individual miniatures, each representing one of the six casks selected for the release and concealed within a secret compartment in the presentation case. A particularly elaborate and highly collectable release combining Macallan single malt with the work of one of the world's most celebrated contemporary photographers.
