    This collection is an exhibition of the most iconic moments across the Six Decades of Bond; each decade encapsulated on its own packaging. Bringing to life the innovations and inventions of James Bond across the years, the packaging has been colour washed with one of the trending colours of the decade it represents. Decade 3 - n the 1980s Roger Moore’s playfulness gave way to an altogether different tone with the arrival of Timothy Dalton as the next Bond. He was frequently seen re-reading the Ian Fleming texts on set, determined to capture the author’s original character study. Dalton’s brooding depth revealed new levels of the character. Through The Living Daylights and A Licence to Kill, Bond’s stoic integrity telegraphed the pressures of constant vigilance. He fulfilled his duties heroically, his burden willingly shouldered.  This exceptional single malt whisky has been created by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell to reflect the character of James Bond. A force of nature defined by his Scottish heritage, he carries himself with modesty and humility.

    Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, the Elchies Distillery as it was known initially, did not become the Macallan-Glenlivet in name until 1892. Since then, it has undergone massive expansion with Edrington and William Grant & Sons combining forces in 1999 to purchase Highland Distillers for £601 million. By then, the reputation of the distillery for its sherry-led style of whisky was already firmly in place. The new ownership model has enabled the distillery to produce new ranges, reach out to new demographics and establish itself as an international brand of quality. Bottles are Macallan are increasingly sought after for their commodity value and not the contents, which often are of high quality. Moving to a new distillery site in recent years, will in the long-term, allow Macallan to produce more and if needed, the old distillery sits idle despite being capable of producing 11 million litres before it closed in 2018.

    The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
