The oldest Longrow bottled to date (April 2025) by Springbank distillers, J&A Mitchell, selected exclusively for members of the Springbank Society by Findlay Ross, Production Director at the distillery. Distilled at Springbank distillery in December 1998 during the annual Longrow production period and laid down in Refill Oloroso butts intended for a long maturation. Transferred to fresh Pedro Xinenez hogsheads for a 3 year 'finishing' or second maturation period before being bottled in April 2025 in both 35 and 70 cl bottles. Bottled at natural cask strength without colouring or chill-filtration. The society has been closed to new members for over 5 years which makes this bottle extremely hard to get a hold of. One of only 485 produced worldwide.

    Springbank (Longrow)

Longrow is not actually a standalone distillery but a heavily peated variant of single malt whisky produced by the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Established in 1973 as an experimental peated malt, Longrow was named after a now-defunct distillery that once stood adjacent to Springbank. It is double-distilled and peated to between 50 and 55 ppm, offering a robust, smoky flavor profile distinct from the lighter Springbank or unpeated Hazelburn whiskies made at the same distillery. Longrow's core expressions include the Longrow Peated, Longrow Red - which varies annually with different red wine cask finishes, and aged expressions like the Longrow 18 and 21 Year Old. This whisky embodies the traditional, hands-on approach of Springbank, with all aspects of production, from malting to bottling, done on-site.
