Lochlea Harvest Edition

Lochlea Distillery, situated in Ayrshire, Scotland, embodies a blend of tradition and modern whisky-making. The distillery was established on the historic Lochlea Farm, where Scotland's national poet Robert Burns once lived and worked from 1777 to 1784. This connection adds a rich cultural layer to the distillery's narrative. Lochlea began its whisky production in 2018, focusing on crafting single malt Scotch whisky from barley grown on its own land, making it a true farm-to-bottle operation. The distillery prides itself on its commitment to quality over quantity, with a production capacity that allows for meticulous attention to detail. Lochlea's approach involves using traditional methods alongside innovative cask selection to develop a distinctive spirit profile. Their whisky is known for its fruity and slightly nutty character, which comes from extended fermentation times, unique yeast strains, and a high spirit cut during distillation.
