Loch Lomond 12 Years Old 2007
Cadenhead's Warehouse Tasting
Loch Lomond is a unique distillery in Scotland, and has a history of doing things on its own terms. Built-in 1965 by the Littlemill Distillery Company, you’d believe it has been around for much longer than it has. The site has slowly evolved over the decades, thanks partially to a series of owners bringing a new vision for Loch Lomond and a need for experimentation with various yeast strains being tried currently. The distillery has been able to produce grain whisky since the early 90s and this is still a rarity in the Scotch whisky industry. The stills across the distillery are varied in shape and size, which gives the team the opportunity to distil a huge variety of whiskies. Various names and ranges have come and gone over the years, but Loch Lomond for now has settled upon its distillery name as a brand and a sweeter style in Inchmurrin and the heavily peated Inchmoan.
