1x Linkwood 2015 Hogshead (Bourbon) Cask No.300733, held in bond at Aceo Ltd, Highnam. The cask was filled on the 29/01/2015, it has been maturing in a bonded warehouse. The cask was re-gauged in the 13th of March 2025, following are the results of the re-gauge. New Bulk Litres: 177.78 New Strength: 58.81% New Litres of Alcohol: 104.58 Tasting Notes by Angus MacRaild (Whisky Consultant & Author) Nose: pure, clean and dominated by breads, cereals and flowers. Still quite youthful, but flawless modern distillate with good stamina for ageing or a solid base from which to re-rack and create a good finish. Water brings sweeter cereal notes, some hints of beer and lemon bonbons. Palate: good level of richness and natural sweetness, a lot of malt extract, lemon barley water, candyfloss and notes of lemon icing and marshmallow. Water reveals some greener, more herbaceous and peppery notes. Again, this is young, clean, modern distillate with strong potential. Finish: medium in length, lemony and grassy. Comments: a clean, fresh and bright young Linkwood, that will continue to mature well for many years in present cask, which is clearly a good quality refill, or should serve as good base malt for re-racking into a new cask type. IMPORTANT: New Client Account at Aceo: £100 Removal Fee: £13 per cask uplift fee, £75 administration fee per uplift Storage Fees: £1 per cask per week Sample: 10cl £25/20cl £35 (excluding postage and duty) Re-gauging: Dip £60/weight £80 Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by Just Whisky. Linkwood

On the outskirts of Elgin resides the Linkwood distillery which dates back to 1821. From its earliest days, it was prized by blenders and this support continues to this very day. However, today’s distillery, isn’t the original, as in 1872 it was demolished and rebuilt. Since then, it has been expanded and received at least two major refurbishments. Not that you’ll be able to tour Linkwood, as, despite its central Speyside location and accessibility, it has always been closed to visitors. The distillery is a relatively large producer of around 5 million litres annually and the majority of these go into blends. It has a very small official single malt presence with the Flora & Fauna 12 year old being the only staple release. Occasionally there have been special editions, but it is the independent sector that has done the most to showcase the harms of Linkwood. Given time, this is a classic representation of a Speyside whisky, full of poise, style and flavour.
