The name Lammerlaw relates to the Lammerlaw mountain range which is located some 30 miles westward of Dunedin, where the Wilson's Distillery, which - until its closure in 1997 - was the World's most southerly distillery.
When the distillery was closed down the remaining casks were auctioned off, making this an extremely hard to find whisky.
