Kanosuke 4 Years Old 2018 Single Cask No.20463 For The Thompson Bros.

This Thompson Bros exclusive release was distilled in 2018 and matured in an ex-Shochu cask which was then re-racked in a single ex-Bourbon cask (#20463) before being bottled at 4 years of age. Commissioned by the Thompson Bros, the label art was produced by Dutch artisté Hans Dillese who worked on a special woodcut print of Kanosuke “Sunset by the sea”. 10 were made with #1 on display at Kanosuke distillery. Founded in 1883 and established in 2017, the Kanosuke Distillery is situated along the Fukiagehama beach and utilises three pot stills for their single malt whisky. The distillery released their inaugural 'First Edition' in 2021 at cask strength using unpeated malt. The Thompson Brothers began bottling whisky in 2013, with their Black Isle Whisky Company, Dornoch. The brothers, Simon and Phil, renamed the operation Dornoch in 2015, opening their first distillery the following year. In addition to distilling their own whisky, their independent bottlings are sought after all over the whisky globe, their reputation for discovering exceptional tasting spirits and fantastically labelled single malts and rums released under the Thompson Bros brand.  One of only 243 individually numbered bottles available worldwide.
