James Eadie's Project 1927

Together with James Eadie, six of Scotland's most creative distilleries have created a revolutionary whisky collection that revives long-forgotten 1920s distillation methods. Exclusive to Royal Mile Whiskies, Project 1927 is the first collaboration of its kind, bringing together independent distilleries throughout Scotland to resurrect production methods that date back a century. The groundbreaking new make spirits were created using methods taken from The Distillation of Whisky and were crafted at Ardnamurchan, Dornoch, Holyrood, InchDairnie, Lochlea, and "An Unnamed Farm Distillery in the Heart of the Kingdom of Fife." Prominent whisky expert Dave Broom and Alan Winchester, the former Master Distiller of The Glenlivet, provided assistance in the production of the spirits. Each of these distilleries' 10cl of spirit is included in this set, along with a blend of all of them. In 2023, James Eadie Ltd. republished The Distillation of Whisky, 1927–1931, a practical first-hand account of the early history of Scotch whisky that sheds light on long-lost interwar whisky-making techniques. The book was published in collaboration with the British Library.
