Isle of Harris

The Hearach is the first, historic single malt whisky from this island distillery and the Isle of Harris. Bottling began on the 25th of May 2023 and was carried out by 7 of the distillery founders. Each batch has natural variation due to individual choice of casks and differing 'marrying' periods.  Batch 1 is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Married at 48.1% for 15 weeks and 1 day. One of only 12,313 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% on the 12th of June 2023. Batch 2 is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Married at 48.1% for 15 weeks and 1 day. One of only 12,296 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% between the 13th and 23^rd of June 2023. Batch 3 is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Married at 48.2% for 16 weeks and 6 days. One of only 12,389 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% between the 26th of June and 5^th of July 2023. Batch 4 is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Married at 48.2% for 18 weeks and 4 days. One of only 11,545 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% between the 6th and 19^th of July 2023. Batch 5 is vatted from Heaven Hill (21%), Buffalo Trace (64%) Oloroso (11%) and Fino (4%) casks. Married at 48.1% for 19 weeks and 4 days. One of only 12,326 bottles. This bottle was bottled at 46% between the 19^th of July and 1^st of August 2023.
