About this bottle
A celebratory single cask bottling from Inchmurrin distillery, Squadron Malts, Elgin. Bottled to celebrate 100 years of XV Squadron (March 1915 - March 2015). Filtered at room temperature and aged for 18 years. The label features XV Squadron Tornado GR1 "MacRobert's Reply"
XV Squadron was formed at South Farnborough on March 1915 and throughout World War 1 resided in France taking part in many battles. During World War II in September 1941, the squadron received a Stirling bomber designated LS-F which was donated by Lady Macrobert in memory of her three sons which she sadly lost in the RAF. Since that day it is tradition to always have one marked with an 'F' and to be known as 'Macrobert's Reply'.
