Hibiki 21 Years Old

Mount Fuji
Lot #0300054
FINISH DATE
31 May 2016
Suntory unveiled a limited edition of its Hibiki 21 years in his famous bottle specially redecorated for the occasion. Created in 1989, the Hibiki blend made famous by its appearance in the movie Lost in Translation, is considered today as one of the best in the world. To pay tribute to Fujisan or Mount Fuji (富士山), the highest peak in Japan at 3776 meters high. The 24 faces of the bottle symbolise the ancient tradition of "Sekki", the age-old Japanese calendar and followed for centuries, it represents the 24 seasons.
Blended Whisky

Blended whisky is an artful marriage of different types of whiskies, typically combining grain whiskies with malt whiskies from various distilleries. This blending process aims to achieve a balance, creating a whisky with a harmonious flavour profile where the strengths of each component are highlighted, while any potential weaknesses are cleverly masked. Blended whiskies offer a consistent taste across batches, making them a favourite for both new whisky drinkers and connoisseurs alike. They can vary widely in style, often providing a smoother, more approachable character than single malts, and are perfect for enjoying neat, on the rocks, or as the foundation for a cocktail. Each blend is a unique recipe, often kept secret by master blenders, showcasing their expertise in creating a spirit that's greater than the sum of its parts.
