In 2025, Suntory partnered with acclaimed Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju to release this limited-edition Hibiki 21 Year Old. Known internationally for his large-scale waterfall and cliff paintings, Senju is celebrated for blending traditional Japanese painting techniques (Nihonga) with a modern, minimalist sensibility. His works often explore the relationship between nature, light, and perception, using natural pigments derived from minerals, plants, and shells to create serene, flowing imagery.
For this collaboration, Senju’s signature waterfall motif is depicted in natural purple hues inspired by the Kokimurasaki gradient, achieved using organic materials such as oyster shell and marble powder. Displayed across both the bottle and presentation box, the artwork reflects Hibiki’s core philosophy of harmony with nature.
First introduced in 1989, Hibiki became world-famous following its appearance in Lost in Translation and is now regarded as one of the finest blended whiskies ever made. The blend combines single malts from Yamazaki and Hakushu with grain whisky from Chita, creating a balanced and elegant expression. The bottle’s 24 facets symbolise Japan’s ancient Sekki calendar, representing the 24 seasons that mark the passing of time in the natural world.
Hibiki
Hibiki whisky, crafted by Suntory, is a celebration of Japanese artistry and precision. Known for its intricate blending process, Hibiki offers a symphony of flavors that harmoniously blend various malt and grain whiskies aged in different casks. Each sip of Hibiki reveals layers of complexity, with notes of honeyed sweetness, subtle spices, and a whisper of floral elegance, all underpinned by a smooth, lingering finish. Whether it's the Hibiki Harmony, with its delicate balance, or the more aged expressions like Hibiki 21, this whisky encapsulates the essence of time, tradition, and the meticulous pursuit of perfection.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Once paid, you will be registered and can place bids in the auction immediately. The registration fee helps us ensure you’re a real person and a genuine bidder.
Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
