About this bottle
More commonly used in the brewing side of the alcohol trade the separator is used to check the crush of the malted barley from the mill. The coarseness of the grain affects the mashing and ultimately the following processes. This particular separator would appear to be for checking the size of the actual grains, possibly used at a mill to check incoming barley from the farms themselves.
