GlenWyvis 6 Years Old 2018

Located on the outskirts of the town of Dingwall, Glenwyvis is perched high up on the hillside looking across Ross-shire. Established in 2015, the original premise was to bring distilling back to the town that had been without since 1925 and also the concept of a community-owned distillery. This forward-thinking distillery also utilises the elements to provide sustainable power to the site. Glenwyvis also has the distinction of being the most recent distillery fire victim in the Scotch whisky industry. In 2019, a fire broke out in the biomass storeroom that held up production for 5 months. Despite this setback, its debut whisky will be released by Christmas 2021 and has already sold out on pre-order. The current distillery manager learned his craft in the American whiskey industry, before replacing Duncan Tait, who had joined the team in 2017 from the Mortlach distillery.
