Lot #1450296
FINISH DATE
15 December 2025
A special bottle of Glenturret 10 Years Old bottled for the mighty Pars (Dunfermline FC), with only 75 bottles produced. This was bottled to commemorate 'The Brothers' - William Thomas Callaghan was born in Cowdenbeath on February 12th, 1943 and was picked up by Dunfermline Athletic as a schoolboy as early as 1957. Playing 426 times for the club. Amongst them 34 appearances in the European Cup Winners Cups and the European Fairs Cities Cup - the record for any Dunfermline player in Europe. Willie's younger brother Tommy also joined Dunfermline in 1962, and the two brothers became famous as they both played together in both the 1965 and 1969 Scottish Cup final for the Pars. This bottle has been signed by both of the Brothers.
Glenturret

Glenturret is one of Scotland’s oldest, if not the oldest distillery, founded in 1775 officially under the name of Hosh, by illicit distillers. Unsurprisingly there is a rich history to the site, which is one of the most picturesque distilleries in Scotland. By current standards, Glenturret is a very small producer and until recently was used mainly by Edrington as a Famous Grouse attraction, thereby overlooking the single malt. It was never a comfortable fit and came to an end in 2019 when the Lalique Group purchased the distillery. Since then, a new single malt range has been launched in 2020, under the watchful eye of Bob Dalgarno was the Master blender at Macallan. He has taken the maturating stock and crafted a series of whiskies that remind many of Macallan, but at a fraction of the cost. A pleasant surprise to many in 2020, expectations are rising around Glenturret as it seeks to establish a new identity.
