"The Culloden Bottle" is a replica of a rare 18th centuary flask which once belonged to Duncan Forbes of Culloden, and which probably contained Ferintosh whisky, the earliest known brand of Scotland. Special Limited Edition of only 2,500 bottles distilled in 1971 and filled on 25th October 1995 to mark the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Culloden in 1996. Produced in association with The National Museums of Scotland.

    Glenmorangie

Situated on the outskirts of Tain in Ross-shire, Glenmorangie has enjoyed rapid success in recent times thanks to the patronage of Moet Hennessy, who acquired the distillery in 2004 for a sum of £300 million from the MacDonald family. Since then, there have been dramatic changes at the distillery and a makeover in terms of appearance including a new modern still house to expand capacity and a refreshing of the range. The new still building also includes fermentation and mashing, which raises the prospect of experimentation, or even a new mini-distillery under a different name. Led by Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie has pursued a range of cask finishes and no age statements to great success. The classic expression remains the 10 year old, but you’ll also see a variety of special editions and single casks. With the recent improvements, we can expect more from Glenmorangie in the coming years.
