This rare, limited edition 1993 Vintage malt whisky was the result of 'finishing' mature Glenmorangie in casks made of 'Truffle Oak' from Germany's Black Forest. Truffle Oak has a very porous grain and casks made from it produce a deliciously rich and full flavoured whisky of exceptional quality. Bottled at Cask Strength without chill-filtration.

Bottled in 2005 as a Limited Edition of 886 numbered bottles, each signed by the Distillery Manager.

    Glenmorangie

Situated on the outskirts of Tain in Ross-shire, Glenmorangie has enjoyed rapid success in recent times thanks to the patronage of Moet Hennessy, who acquired the distillery in 2004 for a sum of £300 million from the MacDonald family. Since then, there have been dramatic changes at the distillery and a makeover in terms of appearance including a new modern still house to expand capacity and a refreshing of the range. The new still building also includes fermentation and mashing, which raises the prospect of experimentation, or even a new mini-distillery under a different name. Led by Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie has pursued a range of cask finishes and no age statements to great success. The classic expression remains the 10 year old, but you’ll also see a variety of special editions and single casks. With the recent improvements, we can expect more from Glenmorangie in the coming years.
