An exquisite limited edition bottling from Glenfiddich, distilled in a single oak cask in 1976 and lay undisturbed to let the full character of this malt emerge where it was then selected by Glenfiddich's malt master and bottled exclusively for the luxury cruise liner The Queen Mary 2. This bottling has been signed by former Commadore Bernard Warner. Queen Mary 2 was designed by a team of Naval architects led by Stephen Payne, and was constructed in France by Chantiers de L'Atlantique in 2003. At the time of her construction, Queen Mar 2 was the longest passenger ship ever built, and with her gross tonnage of 148,528 also the largest. She no longer hold the distinction after newer fleets on the waters however she remains the largest ocean liner ever built. All bottles are individually numbered.

    Glenfiddich

When William Grant built his distillery in 1886, little did he know just what he was creating. Today, Glenfiddich is the most popular single malt in the world, quite a feat for a distillery built by the bare hands of its founder and family. Producing nearly 14 million litres annually, it’s also one of the biggest and engaged in a struggle with the Glenlivet. Forward-thinking, Glenfiddich was one of the first single malts to look beyond the domestic market, the first to adopt a triangle-shaped bottle in 1957 and to welcome visitors with a centre in 1969. The site on the edge of Dufftown is sizeable, and also features the other William Grant distilleries of Balvenie and Kininvie. The scale, organisation and efficiency of the whole operation is smooth, much like the whisky and why as a brand, few can compete with Glenfiddich.
