This is a rare vintage 17 year old which was matured in ex-bourbon oak casks for seven years then finished in Port 'pipes' from the Duoro valley in Portugal for a further 10 years.
A limited edition of just 690 bottles, each individually numbered.

Situated on the outskirts of Elgin in 1897 on what was a historical site dating back to at least 1830 as a brewery. Today, Glen Moray is surrounded by housing estates, but as you enter the site and descend down towards the distillery itself, it feels like another world. Owned by the La Martiniquaise group since 2008, in recent times we’ve seen a move from Glen Moray away from their value whiskies to embrace more age statements, finishes and a peated distillate. This reflects their growing sales, favour amongst whisky enthusiasts and sizeable inventory. What will be interesting is after long term stalwart distillery manager and master blender, Graham Coull, left in 2019, he was replaced by Kirstie McCallum from Distell, only for her to depart a year later. Her replacement was plucked from the Distell Group once again in the form of Stephen Woodcock. So, some uncertainty at the top that has hopefully now settled down.
