'Nutty mocha frappuccino' Distilled at Glen Moray distillery on the 26th of November 2007, then matured for 10 years in a 2nd fill ex-Bourbon Barrel before it was bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. All 225 bottles have been captured at 59.5% ABV.

    Glen Moray

Situated on the outskirts of Elgin in 1897 on what was a historical site dating back to at least 1830 as a brewery. Today, Glen Moray is surrounded by housing estates, but as you enter the site and descend down towards the distillery itself, it feels like another world. Owned by the La Martiniquaise group since 2008, in recent times we’ve seen a move from Glen Moray away from their value whiskies to embrace more age statements, finishes and a peated distillate. This reflects their growing sales, favour amongst whisky enthusiasts and sizeable inventory. What will be interesting is after long term stalwart distillery manager and master blender, Graham Coull, left in 2019, he was replaced by Kirstie McCallum from Distell, only for her to depart a year later. Her replacement was plucked from the Distell Group once again in the form of Stephen Woodcock. So, some uncertainty at the top that has hopefully now settled down.
