    Four Roses

Four Roses was trademarked in 1888 by Paul Jones Jr in Louisville Kentucky. Age brings a certain illusion of grandeur, which helps sales, so Paul famously claimed he had been in production since the 1860s. It worked; he was successful with his company purchasing the notable Frankfort Distilling Company in 1922 and growing the Four Roses brand. A take over by Seagram, led to further success in the domestic market and internationally, which continues to this day. Thanks to the efforts of master distiller Jim Rutledge, Four Roses returned to prominence in the United States. Since then, it has ridden the bourbon wave that has revived this brown spirit across America, assisted by a winning combination of affordability, flavour, distribution and varied core range. This includes a variety of single casks that showcase 5 proprietary yeast strains allowing enthusiasts to explore exclusive bourbon recipes.
