Fife Blended 15 Years Old

Possibly the worst kept secret in the entire history of Scotch Whisky. A vatting of two casks distilled, matured and bottled in the Kingdom of Fife. The youngest of the 2 components is a 15 year old ex-bourbon cask, single malt from a wee Farm distillery just outside of Cupar. The distillery is run part-time by the master distiller who is also a dab hand at growing barley and driving a tractor. The farmer's (master distiller's) wife, Hazel, makes fantastic fruit cake and tablet soaked in single malt whisky, which she sources from Daftmill, a wee farm distillery where she lives. The other componant is a single cask of Cameronbridge grain whisky. Matured for 25 years including a 2 year finish in Marsala wood. James Eadie have built a strong reputation as master finishers and this vatting is no exception. This is the first in a series of vattings from Fife distillers. Bottled at "FIfe" strength, 56.3%, one of only 458 bottles produced.
