English Whisky Company 2008

This bottle of whisky has been selected from the private whisky stock of James Nelstrop, Founder of the English Whisky Co. Ltd.  When sampling in September 2011 it was realised that the whisky in cask 0763 was outstanding; possibly was associated with the fact that serious losses had occurred and only 94.5 litres remained. This heavily peated whisky was distilled on 29th July 2008 and approximately 194 litres were placed in a 1st fill ASB which previously held Jim Beam Bourbon to mature. The cask was selected on the 14th October 200 to be double wooded and the whisky was transferred into an ex-Jamaican rum cask known as 0763. It was decanted on 19th September 2011.
