English Whisky Co. 2007

This is a Spirit from The English Whisky Company which isn't quite whisky yet. It's spirit distilled on the 20th February 2007 and bottled on the 19th September 2008 from a single cask.

From what we can find out, this is a particularly rare bottle from The English Whisky Company. Here is a quote directly from the distillery about this particular bottle:

"Apparently you have a very rare bottle here. When we first started selling our whisky spirit, we weren’t able to bottle on site as we didn’t yet have a bottling machine so the first 2 or 3 bottlings ever done were contract bottled off-site by a company then called the Scottish Liqueur Centre (they are now called Morrison & Mackay and still bottle our liqueurs for us today). Their bottling process meant they chillfiltered our whisky and could bottle this at 40%. When bottling here onsite, we don’t chillfilter our whisky and we tend to bottle our Chapters at 46%. Our distiller has said because this was one of the very first bottling ever done, there are under 1000 bottles of this Chapter 3 in existence! So keep this bottle safe! Kind regards Sarah Carvell"
