Dingle Irish Single Malt
Situated in a remote part of Ireland in County Kerry, Dingle distillery was established by a trio of forward-thinking businessmen who were behind the successful Porterhouse Brewing Company. Their plans for the distillery did not come to fruition until 2012, which was still ahead of the curve that we’re now seeing across the Irish whiskey industry. A trio of stills ensures a distinctive spirit and a very collectable whiskey. The first of these arrived in 2016 and since the distillery has continued to release a variety of whiskies including single malts and pot stills. The revival of the pot still style is now seen as a masterstroke by enthusiasts when initially it was just seen as being faithful to the old ways of Irish whiskey that were dying at the time. The team sprung a surprise in 2019 with their new master distiller, the appointment of Graham Coull previously of Glen Moray distillery in Scotland. He is now leading the distillery to new heights and there is great interest in what this will mean for future whiskies.
