The legend of Erté, the undisputed "Master of Art Deco", is based on over seventy years of creating inimitable designed which have contributed to the enhancement of modern artistic and cultural life. At the age of ninety-seven, he unveiled a third design for the limited edition Courvoisier Collection Erté series which consists of only 12,000 decanters for collectors throughout the world.
Specially selected by the Courvoisier Master Blender, the cognac in each decanter of "Distillation" consists of a rare blend using the finest cognacs exclusively from the Grande Champagne area, with the oldest dating back to 1892, the year Erté was born.
On the 21st April 1990, the art world was saddened to hear of the death of Romain de Tirtoff (ERTÉ) at the age of 97 in Paris.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Once paid, you will be registered and can place bids in the auction immediately. The registration fee helps us ensure you’re a real person and a genuine bidder.
Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
How do I sell?
