This Clydeside single malt is produced using clear water from Loch Katrine, 100% Scottish barley, and then matured in the finest oak casks. This is the inaugural release from the Lowland distillery.
Clydeside
Founded in 2017 by Morrison Glasgow Distillers, the Clydeside sits within the Queens Docks in Glasgow; a location that is rich in history and symbolic of the city’s past. Converting the old pumphouse, the Clydeside has been quietly going about its business. Offering an excellent visitor experience, you can also eat in a delicious café and check out one of the best-stocked whisky shops in Glasgow within the distillery. The inaugural whisky is due sometime in 2021 and expectations are high. From using Scottish barley grown in the Lowlands, a fermentation of 72 hours and implementing the advice of the late Dr Jim Swan and the family’s connection to the whisky industry, Glasgow looks set to welcome another worthy single malt, very soon.
