Distilled at Caol Ila on the 12th of October 2010, then matured for 11 years including an initial maturation in Refill Hogsheads before being finished in a 1st Fill Sherry Butt for 16 months. This was then bottled on the 9th of July 2022 by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection. A total of 702 bottles were produced.
Caol Ila
Islay’s biggest distillery is arguably its most consistent and underappreciated. Caol Ila was established in 1846 and when through a handful of owners thanks to various financial difficulties. The biggest change came in 1972 when the distillery and the majority of buildings were demolished and rebuilt. Famously, stepping into the gap during this period was inaction was the Brora distillery in Sutherland. After further investment in 2011, Caol Ila’s capacity increased to 6.5 million litres as its reputation continued to grow. Widely available in official versions and via independent bottlers, it now forms part of the Johnnie Walker experience with enhanced facilities for visitors.

How can I bid on the auctions?
You’ll need an account with us to place bids in any auction. Registration takes 60 seconds and there’s a small £5.00 registration fee, payable by credit or debit card. Why does the timer extend on a lot?
In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
