Distilled at the Caol Ila distillery in 2006, then matured for 18 years, including a finish in a refill Oloroso Hogshead since 2024. Bottled in 2025 by Cadenhead's for the Cadenhead's Club after selection by their members. The cask yielded 210 bottles at cask strength 57.1% abv.
Caol Ila
Islay’s biggest distillery is arguably its most consistent and underappreciated. Caol Ila was established in 1846 and when through a handful of owners thanks to various financial difficulties. The biggest change came in 1972 when the distillery and the majority of buildings were demolished and rebuilt. Famously, stepping into the gap during this period was inaction was the Brora distillery in Sutherland. After further investment in 2011, Caol Ila’s capacity increased to 6.5 million litres as its reputation continued to grow. Widely available in official versions and via independent bottlers, it now forms part of the Johnnie Walker experience with enhanced facilities for visitors.

How can I bid on the auctions?

We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
