An extremely rare bottling from Silent distillery Cambus. This NAS bottle was not available through retail but was given to the employees as a Thank you for all their hard work and dedication through the years.

Cambus distillery dates back to the 1800s opening their doors in 1836 in a village near Alloa. Unfortunately, in 1913 a fire broke out in the maltings and engulfed most of the distillery. Operations moved to Scottish Grain Distillers Ltd in 1966 however, the move was not enough to keep them afloat and United Distillers closed the distillery doors in 1993.

    Cambus

Cambus can trace its roots back to 1806 when it started life as a malt distillery, before switching to grain production in the 1850s. The location of the distillery would become vital as being situated near Alloa, it was in the heart of Scotland and accessible by road, train or boat. A grain whisky of high reputation, single casks are well worth tracking down, but for Cambus its reputation was never going to be enough when corporations began to centralise their grain distilleries. Closing its doors in 1993, the production aspect of the distillery was demolished and instead, Diageo invested millions in transforming the site into its warehousing and cooperage complex that continues to this day.
