Introducing Bunnahabhain 12-year-old Cask Strength, a limited-edition annual release whisky inspired by visitor tastings in the distillery’s iconic Warehouse 9. Matured on the remote, north-eastern coastline of Islay, and produced using pure spring water from the Margadale Spring, the 12-year-old Cask Strength is an undiluted celebration of the distillery’s hugely popular Bunnahabhain12 Year Old expression. For years, visitors making the pilgrimage to Bunnahabhain distillery have been enjoying drams straight from the cask in the famous, Warehouse 9, so now consumers from all over the world will be able to recreate this privilege at home. Deep russet gold, this natural cask strength 12 Year Old is a celebration of their Bunnahabhain house style. Delivering big hits of chocolate, spice, and concentrated dried fruits Tasting notes:
Colour: Deep russet gold Nose: Dark berries, citrus, and toasted oak which gradually transitions to sweet vanilla and a hint of cinnamon spice. Palate: Creamy chocolate, sherry-soaked fruit and a balanced nuttiness give way to cloves, nutmeg, and a subtle sea salt spray. Finish: A lingering sweet finish with cherries and a touch of wood spice.
Bunnahabhain

Situated in the remote northern end of Islay, Bunnahabhain is one of Islay’s most enduring and overlooked whiskies. Thanks to the deep pockets of Distell, who purchased the distillery in 2013 along with Deanston and Tobermory, this prompted long-overdue investment in the decaying site that was well past its best. The distillery also features a pier, which is one of the most magical settings to have a dram and look out across to Jura. Better distribution and an expanded range has meant that Bunnahabhain is more popular today than ever before. Historically it is almost unpeated and remains so, with the distillery also producing a heavily peated distillate to tap into the popularity that other Islay distilleries enjoy. Bruichladdich has shown itself to be a very adaptable whisky and with various cask types being showcased, there is much to explore and enjoy.
