A very rare and unique Crystal decanter produced by Atlantis using pure Gold and solid sterling silver to decorate it special for Independent bottlers, Hart Brothers, The Dynasty decanter was created to commemorate the last seven independent monarchs of the ancient Kingdom of Scotland. They were all distinguished members of the illustrious Royal House of Stuart and their remarkable story is briefly told in the page of the booklet that comes with this wonderful decanter. The Dynasty decanter was also created to celebrate the evolution of Scotch whisky distilling during the 200 years spanned by these seven Stuart monarchs. Scotch whisky - Scotland's premier product, now acclaimed throughout the world is represented in the Dynasty decanter by a 31 year old single malt from the renowned Bowmore Distillery. A total of 850 bottle was produced.

    Bowmore

If we go by official dates, Bowmore is Islay’s oldest distillery in operation today, kicking off in 1779. Set in a spectacular location, along the coastline from the village of the same name. Bowmore had a mighty reputation founded on some classic whiskies from the 1960s. These have been released in a series of special editions and thankfully the current distillate is excellent. Somehow, Bowmore mixes the peat of Islay with a coastal vibe that is underpinned by a wonderful fruitiness. Shrouded in history, it also arguably has Scotland’s most famous and atmospheric warehouse in the Vault No.1. Stepping into this and walking through the maturing casks, while the ocean crashes against the outer wall, is well worth the price of admission.
