Bowmore No Corners to Hide captures our past and the legends which define it – telling a story that flows from water to whisky. Two exceptional expressions are released as part of No Corners to Hide, a 23-Year-Old and 32-Year-Old, creating the first chapter of the Frank Quitely Series.
This 23 year old edition has been matured for 21 years in American Oak Hogsheads, to create the signaturestyle of Bowmore. Much like the devil, this spirit took its own unusual journey, maturing in more than just one cask type. Two years further of maturation followed in Essencia Barriques, a peculiarly rare rose oak that can be traced back to the 1830's. This finessing created a distinctive and powerful character alluding to, and conjuring up, a sensory exploration of this mythical tale.
Bowmore
If we go by official dates, Bowmore is Islay’s oldest distillery in operation today, kicking off in 1779. Set in a spectacular location, along the coastline from the village of the same name. Bowmore had a mighty reputation founded on some classic whiskies from the 1960s. These have been released in a series of special editions and thankfully the current distillate is excellent. Somehow, Bowmore mixes the peat of Islay with a coastal vibe that is underpinned by a wonderful fruitiness. Shrouded in history, it also arguably has Scotland’s most famous and atmospheric warehouse in the Vault No.1. Stepping into this and walking through the maturing casks, while the ocean crashes against the outer wall, is well worth the price of admission.

How can I bid on the auctions?

We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
