Bivrost

Aurora Spirit Distillery, the very first whisky released by the Northernmost Whisky distillery in the world and the first vertical distillery in the world, (still one of only two in the world including The Port of Leith distillery). The Nine Worlds of Norse Mythology is a series of nine individual expressions of Bivrost whisky distilled in the Artic Circle. Bi-annual, limited edition releases each representing a different world of Norse Myth. The nine releases are;  Nilfheim - triple distilled, matured in sherry, bourbon and virgin casks. Bottle No. 654 of only 1622. Nidavellir - Single distilled with two active plates  in copper pot/column still, bourbon & ex-Islay casks. Bottle No. 2175 of  2496. Muspelheim - Triple distilled peated and unpeated spirit, bourbon and ex-Islay casks. Bottle No. 1341 of only 2282. Jotunheim - Triple distilled, ex-bourbon and ex-stout casks. Bottle No. 1229 of only 3000. Asgard -  Triple distilled, ex-bourbon and Muscat wine casks. Bottle No. 885 of only 3102. Helheim - distilled with two active plates  in copper pot/column still, crocodile charred, ex-bourbon. Bottle No. 307 of only 3389. Vanaheim -  distilled with two active plates  in copper pot/column still, ex-bourbon and Teak casks. Bottle No. 78 of only 3506. Alfheim - distilled with two active plates  in copper pot/column still, 4 types of virgin oak. Bottle No. 787 of only 4508. Midgard - distilled with two active plates  in copper pot/column still, 3 tyoes of ex-sherry oak. Bottle No. 4755 of only 6265. These whiskies have pushed the boundaries of what is traditional in whisky distillation and maturation and have been recognised internationally, winning awards every year from 2020 right up until this year at The World Whisky awards 2024.
