The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. This exceptional single cask release is drawn from an Ex-Bourbon cask and celebrates Regent's Park tube station. Named after the Prince Regent who later became King George IV, Regent's Park station was opened in 1906. Unlike most of the stations on the Bakerloo line, Regent's Park has no surface buildings and is only accessibble via subway. The station serves the London Zoological Gardens - the world's oldest scientific zoo which opened in 1828 and was then opened to the wider public in 1847. Cask No.420 has produced only 284 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 56.8%.

    Bimber

This London based distillery was founded in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since. Gaining local, then national popularity and in 2020, a series of single cask releases specific to various countries abroad. Starting out with a small 2 still set-up, Bimber has recently expanded to meet demand. Additional wooden washbacks were installed in 2019 as well. At the heart of its success is an attention to detail; using malted floor barley and production methods to enhance the flavour of the new make spirit. An intensive cask programme ensures that Bimber works well in a variety of wooden vessels from a young age. Demand means that releases from the distillery are in short supply, with even a small batch range selling out. We can expect more Bimber in 2021 including a new series based on stations within the London Underground network.
