The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. This exceptional single cask release is drawn from Palo Cortado casks and celebrates Tower Hill tube station. Bottled in April 2022. Opened in 1967, the present-day Tower Hill station is located east of its original location on Mark Lane. The entrance to station is mere metres away from the largest remaining segment of London Wall – the Roman defensive wall which once surrounded the historic City of London. Rich with London history, the station is situated just to the north of the Tower of London moat and a stone’s throw away from Tower Bridge – one of London’s most iconic sights. Cask No.302/13 has produced only 348 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 58.7%.
