Bimber The Spirit of the Underground

This exceptional Bimber London single malt, single cask whisky release was additionally matured in a Moscatel cask and celebrates Oval station. Cask No 282/22 was bottled in April 2024 and produced only 307 individually numbered, full-sized bottles, at a cask strength of 57.6%. The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. Oval station was opened in December 1890 as part of the City and South Railway – the first deep-level Tube line. Named after the world-famous cricket ground just a short walk from the station, oval was originally designed with neo-classical details from architect Thomas Philips Figg. The station was modernised in the early 1920s and then again in 1997/98 when internal decorative tiling featuring imagery of a variety of cricketing stances was added. Cask No 282/22 has produced only 307 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 57.6%.
