This exceptional single cask release has been additionally matured in a single Moscatel cask and celebrates Notting Hill Gate tube station. Bottled in April 2022, Cask No.285/21 produced only 342 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 59%. The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. **Opening this bottle and scanning the NFT on the cork will enter the recipient into a competition for one of five free bottles of Underground whisky. It will entitle the owner a discount of £12.50 from a future Underground purchases.** Originally opened on the 1st October 1868, Notting Hill Gate station was extensively rebuilt in the 1950s in order to link up the Circle and District lines with the latterly constructed Central line. The area earned its name for its tollgate which was established by the Turnpike Trust and only removed in 1864. Rich with entertainment, Notting Hill hosts Europe’s largest street festival – the Notting Hill Carnival as well as the popular cosmopolitan Portobello Market which runs the length of Portobello Lane.
Bimber

This London based distillery was founded in 2015 and hasn’t looked back since. Gaining local, then national popularity and in 2020, a series of single cask releases specific to various countries abroad. Starting out with a small 2 still set-up, Bimber has recently expanded to meet demand. Additional wooden washbacks were installed in 2019 as well. At the heart of its success is an attention to detail; using malted floor barley and production methods to enhance the flavour of the new make spirit. An intensive cask programme ensures that Bimber works well in a variety of wooden vessels from a young age. Demand means that releases from the distillery are in short supply, with even a small batch range selling out. We can expect more Bimber in 2021 including a new series based on stations within the London Underground network.
