The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. This exceptional single cask release is drawn from an Amontillado sherry cask and celebrates Camden Town tube station. Bottled in April 2022. Camden Town station opened in June 1907 featuring the distinctive oxblood red faïence blocks and art nouveau tiled interiors of architect Leslie Green. The station's northbound platform was constructed directly above its southbound to match the narrowness of the roads above and consequently to avoid paying additional compensation to landowners during construction. Today, Camden Town is best known for its markets, alternative shops, and subcultures - from goths to punks and everything in between. Cask No.288/23 has produced only 341 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 58.5%.
