Bimber Spirit of the Underground

This exceptional Bimber London single malt, single cask release was fully matured in an ex-oloroso sherry cask celebrates Covent Garden station. Cask No.441 was bottled in November 2022 and produced only 321 individually numbered bottles, at a cask strength of 59.2%. The Spirit of the Underground Series celebrates one of the great engineering projects of the past 200 years. A subterranean labyrinth steeped in history that empowers the true lifeblood of London - its people. Covent Garden was originally planned in 1899 to be part of the Great Northern and Strand Railway route from Wood Green (now Alexandra Palace) to the Strand. Finally opening in December 1906, it is one of few stations on the Underground network that is still only accessible using lifts. The area is renowned throughout the world for its luxury fashion, beauty stores, restaurants and theatres and is also the home of the London Transport Museum.
