Aultmore 18 Years Old

This limited edition Aultmore 18 Year Old is finished in second-fill Madeira casks, bringing a subtle influence of exotic fruits and gentle spice that harmonizes with the whisky’s signature herbal notes. Freshly cut grass leads the nose, followed by sun-drenched aromas of red cherry, blackberry, and a hint of orange peel, all wrapped in soft caramel and a touch of warming dried spice on the finish. For this release, Malt Master Stephanie MacLeod explored the nuanced effects of second-fill casks, as well as the variety of finishing cask types. These casks, which previously held Madeira wine before being used to mature whisky, impart a more delicate influence than first-fill casks. With Aultmore's light and refined style, the second-fill Madeira casks offer a subtle enhancement, allowing the whisky’s intricate character to shine through. This smaller 50cl bottling was launched for the Travel Retail market.
