Arbikie 1794 Edition Single Grain
Founded in 2013 by the Stirling family who are farmers by trade, Arbikie emphasises the field to the bottle dynamic that comes from their agricultural heritage. The first spirit from the distillery was vodka, then gin, with historical records showing that some form of distilling was practised on the site in the 1790s. The converted cattle shed in 2015 distilled malt whisky and since Arbikie has been known for producing rye. Everything that the distillery requires comes from the land with an underground water source also being utilised. Their recent single malt Highland rye continues to develop, shown by receiving the craft producer of the year award in 2021. Soon, visitor facilities will be available to those who fancy visiting one of Scotland’s most sustainable distilleries.
