Appleton Estate 17 Years Old Legend Jamacaa Rum

Distilled in 2005, bottled in 2022. Appleton Estate release a new 17 year old rum. Pot distilled rum which spent 17 years maturing in the tropical climate of Jamaica before Joy Spence, their Master Distiller personally selected 10 barrels for this, one off release, a recreation of one of the most famous rums of the last century. The story goes that reknowned barman Trader Vic invented his classic Mai Tai cocktail, he specified that only a 17 year old rum from J.Wray & Nephew was used. This rum was medium bodied, golden in colour, and possessed the pungent, rich flavour inherent in Jamaican blends of the 1940s. Truly deserving the moniker of 'Legend'. One of only 1500 bottles.
