Annandale 10 Years Old 2016

Distilled at Annandale Distillery on 17 March 2016, this exceptional single cask whisky has matured for a full decade in a private first-fill ex-bourbon cask (Cask No. 161). Bottled on 27 May 2026 at its natural cask strength of 57.5% ABV, only a small portion of the cask was filled, yielding just 40 bottles. This limited release was created to celebrate The Kerracher Man, Eric MacLeod’s acclaimed 2007 memoir. The Kerracher Man was the local name given to the resident crofter at Kerracher, a lonely sole croft situated in Kerracher Bay, North West Sutherland. The novel is a heartfelt and vividly written account, it tells the story of Eric and his young family as they settled in one of Scotland’s most remote crofthouses, and rebuilt it from the ground up with courage, determination, and love. A second chapter is already unfolding. Eric’s forthcoming book, Kerracher Tales, will be accompanied by further bottlings from the same legendary Cask No. 161 in a few years time — continuing this marriage of whisky and literature that is sure to inspire.
