Port Dundas 52 Year Old 1964 - Special Release 2017

The oldest whisky ever bottled by Diageo was sold out swiftly as part of the 2017 annual special release. Aged an astonishingly old 52 years, this is a single grain whisky from closed distillery Port Dundas.

Founded in Glasgow, beside the Forth Clyde Canal in 1811-13, Port Dundas soon became a leading grain distillery and was the first stop on whisky chronicler Alfred Barnard's epic 1886-87 journey around The Whisky Distilleries of the United Kingdom. Its 454ft chimney, for two centuries a local landmark, was once the tallest in the World.

This golden whisky was matured in refill American oak casks.
